This summer I decided to make a little road-trip with my friends and my little niece to Badoca Safari Park .
It was a really hot day and our only mission was looking for shadows to hide from the sun. If you never heard about Badoca, I will tell you a little bit about it. Badoca Safari Park it's a Portuguese safari, where you can find a lot of wild animals like zebras, giraffes, oryx, wildebeests and many other species that in the wildlife will take you to the African continent. Este verão decidi fazer uma pequena viagem com os meus amigos e a minha sobrinha mais nova ao Badoca Safari Park. Estava um dia de muito calor, e tudo o que nós queríamos era encontrar sombras para nos escondermos do sol.
Se nunca ouviram falar do Badoca, vou falar um pouco do famoso Safari pelas terras alentejanas.
O Badoca é um parque onde podemos encontrar varias espécies de animais selvagens como zebras, girafas, orixes, gnus e muitas outras espécies que em plena liberdade nos transportam para o continente africano.
Começamos a nossa aventura no Badoca pelo Safari, enquanto esperávamos pela hora de começo, aproveitamos para admirar a vida selvagem a nossa volta. Os veados aproximavam-se da vedação ao sentirem a presença de pessoas , de modo a que os pudéssemos ver de perto.
At the end of the Safari, we saw the famous mascots of the Badoca Safari Park, the Giraffes! The one that showed herself more to the public was "Badoca", he came closer showed us his beautiful long neck, showed us how he eats the higher leafs on trees and walked away, leaving us the euphoria of his beauty.
No final do Safari vimos as famosas mascotes do Badoca Safari Park, as Girafas! A que se deu mais ao publico foi o "Badoca", ele aproximou-se mostrou o seu belo pescoço, mostrou como se comes as folhas que estão mais altas nas arvores e foi embora, deixando-nos extasiados com a sua beleza.
When we finished the Safari we went for lunch, but instead of getting into a restaurant, we took the opportunity to make a picnic, we put the towel on the floor, we sat and had a good laugh. After lunch it was time to watch the presentation of Birds of Prey.
Quando terminámos o Safari fomos almoçar, e em vez de nos enfiarmos dentro de um restaurante, aproveitámos para fazer um picnic, pusemos a toalha no chão, sentamo-nos e demos umas boas gargalhadas. Depois de almoço era hora de ver a apresentação de aves de rapina.
The bird that started the presentation was the Eagle of Harris, there were a lot of poles at the enclosure so she could stand there and we could observe her, then she flew over us and stood in the poles, or, if the handler gave her a "treat" she would come and stand in her arm.
A ave que abriu a apresentação foi a Águia de Harris, existiam vários postes no recinto para que ela pousasse e as pessoas a pudessem observar, então ela sobrevoava por cima de nós e pousava nos postes, ou então quando a tratadora lhe dava uma "guloseima" ela vinha para o seu braço.
From all the birds we saw, my favorite was the Eurasian Eagle-Owl, commonly known as the Owl, he did the exact same as the Eagle, but of course he was the cutest, I was in love with him, and even thought about switching my boyfriend for the Eurasian.
De todas as aves que vimos a minha favorita foi o Bufo Real, mais conhecido como Môcho, ele fez tudo exactamente como o Águia, mas claro que para mim foi muito mais fofo, fiquei apaixonada por ele, e até pensei em trocar o meu namorado pelo Bufo.
And this was our adventure at the Badoca Safari Park, we loved and had the most possible fun, when we got to the end of the day, we were all tired but happy for having the opportunity of visiting the famous Safari in Alentejo.
E foi assim a nossa aventura no Badoca Safari Park, amámos e divertimo-nos o máximo possivel, quando chegou ao fim do dia estávamos todos exaustos mas felizes por ter-mos tido a oportunidade de visitar-mos este famoso Safari Alentejano.
